Sugar Snap, Runner Bean, Broad Bean wins Grindstone Literary Flash Fiction 1000

Sugar Snap, Runner Bean, Broad Bean was recently announced as the winner of the Grindstone Literary Flash Fiction 1000 Competition. Grindstone described it as ‘heartfelt and potent writing’. Book of Bedtime Stories is Independent’s 2013 Book of the Year

The Mumsnet Book of Bedtime Stories (published by Walker Books) has been named first in the Independent’s top 10 children’s books of 2013. My story, The Night Thief and The Moon, is the last in this prize winning collection of children’s stories. The stories were chosen by former Children’s Laureate, Michael Rosen, who said, “These are brilliant stories… I really enjoyed reading and selecting these funny, clever stories.”

Reading at the Wales Millennium Centre
